Elvis

I know its 30 years since he's passed on but do they have to wheel out everything Elvis related. Christmas time can be hard enough without constantly being reminded of what cool presents you could get for someone except for if they're not around any more. Mam would have loved all the elvis stuff and I don't think she'd appreciate having loads of Elvis stuff on her grave no matter how big a fan she was. This week has been mental with christmas oarties and recovering from christmas parties. The work one was on Wed night and it was okay. I never like it, its very forced. This year was no different. The team one next week is always much better. Everyone gets soo drunk so quickly and the music wasn't the best. I took loads of pictures and chatted with some of the work mates. I also lost my phone. The trouble with dress trousers is no pockets...Thankfully, the taxi man found it and I met him last night and got it back. Not that I was worried too much, I mean its only a phone but it has all my work related numbers it in so that
would be a pain losing it. I might be getting a new one anyways, one that isn't a granny phone as the mates all call my phone. Feckers.

I'm not a big fan of cursing, in fact, I don't use the more graphic curse words at all. But this week I have been tempted to tell some people to go f*** themselves and get over it. But I'm too polite for that so I'll refrain and go back to taking my anger out in training. Poor J, no wonder she skips class with me. Tomorrow is the nieces birthdays and it should be fun as there is a situation with the in-laws developing. I said to Mammy2 I'd bring popcorn. Last night was such fun. We went christmas shopping and I love christmas shopping! Lots and lots of bags. Nothing in them, just empty bags. Sorry, I couldn't resist. We headed to Smiths for the kids and the big kid in me. Carrolls for some rugby stuff for the boy kids. Arnotts for some Leinster stuff for Mammy2. Shops were busy but not mental. The queues weren't too bad at all, I think its because everything is open late so its great and no headaches.

I finish up today and am not back in work until next Thursday just in time for the christmas party :) Well timed. We've nearly got everything organised. The workmate is picking up port for hot ports and we've asked people to bring in food. Espeically as we have a good few new irish as they are called now, foreigners sounds like an insult! I've asked them to bring in something traditional to their country. We have spanish, portuguese, english, new zealand, Germany and Holland. Its like the UN in here and we're only a team of 25..Then its a quiz, some goodies to be handed out and into town for 3.30. To Fitizers in Temple Bar for a nosebag and onto Farringtons for festive cheer. Everyone apart from 2 people who are on leave is going. We even had the 2 ladies who were on maternity leave coming along so it should be a good night. I have the camera charged and ready!

We're heading to the Dublin Docklands on Sunday for the Christmas Fair, really looking forward to it. A few mates are coming along to make a festive evening of it. I'm so excited! I then have 3 days to do nothing except potter around Dublin and enjoy the festive atmosphere! I was supposed to be in London for the Spice Girls but unfortunately Mammy2 couldn't get the time off. I was a bit disappointed but sure now I have 3 whole days off so its great! And I got the tickets sold to a fan who was gutted that she was missing them. Selling them at face value as it wouldn't be fair otherwise. It sounds like its going to be an amazing gig.
