It makes no sense.

At this moment in time, one of Mammy2's good mates is lying in a hospital bed, on life support fighting the virus that's
attacking her body. Its surreal. We got the phone call yesterday and Mammy2 has been in somewhat of a daze since.
It doesn't make sense that this healthy, fit young woman would be on life support after getting pneumonia which grew into septicemia. I'm familir with septicemia from Mam's illness, but in Mam, she was a frail, less then six stone woman. I don't know much about viruses but this is just....I can't make sense of it.

Apparently, the treatment she was getting here in Ireland wasn't working, so her family have flown her to Sweden where she is now. Something about better medical equipment, which wouldn't surprise me. The boyf is keeping Mammy2 updated via txt but at the moment there's not much to tell. I'm just trying to be there for Mammy2 as she deals with the shock of it all. She's holding up okay at the moment, thank god. I suppose all we can do at this stage is pray for a miracle.
