Buying an apartment and speaking Italian

Things are pretty straight forward when you're a teenager, I think, anyway. She said yesterday she was going to buy an apartment near to whereever we bought our house as long as we bought a house in Kildare and not Athlone. She feels if we have a child, the child will be bullied and we will be stoned out of our house whereas in Kildare, they obviously put red carpets down for gay families. We have never said one way or the other as to where we are going to locate ourselves. She just assumes. I casually asked her what about Italy. That was on hold for the moment until J, the boyfriend learns Italian. I am assuming she already speaks it fluently. She was in a bit of a mood at the weekend and thankfully she wasn't around us, J, the poor boyf was on the receiving end of most of her mood swings.

She was pretty peeved last week with some of the grades she got for her christmas test, 44 in Maths did nothing for her. We've a parent teacher meeting this Thursday, not looking forward to that. Sometimes I think it should be fine and then she arrives home telling us that she told the Art teacher to die or something and I'm never sure if she's serious or not. I suppose anything is an improvement on last year and we just have to take it in our stride. She was sitting on the couch playing Tomb Raider the other day when she asked what we were getting her for her 18th bday. She's only 17 this year, so we're talking a long way off. Mammy2 said we'll think about it in
another year and a half.

D, her best mate, I was told this morning is turning buddist. I have no idea when this came about or what brought the descision about, but I can only assume its to do with the fact that her mother is moving to England and leaving her 'all by herself'. They seem to be chatting again, not sure
if D has moved back into the best friend title just yet but at least the kid has someone to hang out with in school. The sister is home from Holland next week, yay! Looking forward to seeing her. So much happening next week, top of the agenda is ovulation. Here's hoping those lovely ovaries
are well rested and looking forward to some action. They've had a fairly easy life of late. They can start to do some work for a change.

This weekend was stressful for me as the feckin RSI paid a return visit to my shoulder. I had a bad bout of it last year and got rid of it. So Mammy2 played nursemaid over the weekend and kept it limber and kept cream etc on it. Comes from too much time on the PC, I suppose its understandable
after over 10 years of programming that something would complain. If I rest it enough and keep stuff on it, it should be grand. I asked her this morning to put stuff on it, and she was all worried in case it was fatal. The poor kid must think every little illness or injury is fatal these days. I suppose
after what happened with Mam its understandable, so I told her I'm going to live until a ripe old age and then she's going to have to look after me. To which she replied "Nay, I'll bung you in a home" Lovely stuff indeed. So thoughtful, teenagers of today!
